Have you ever had the feeling of telling someone your problems and feeling like they aren’t listening?
This is a fairly widespread reality (unfortunately).
LOOK OUT! This isn’t the part where I tell you the typical line that, as a psychologist with years of experience and great dedication to what I do, I understand what you’re going through.
I don’t know your situation or the reasons that brought you here. Although I would love to get to know them.
But what I can guarantee you is that I practice attentive listening as an essential foundation of therapy at Transformative Psychology.
And thanks to this and your commitment to your well-being, you will manage to resolve what worries you so much and complicates your life, so you can reach true happiness.
Why Patricia and not another psychologist?
Well… it’s time for me to tell you how I will accompany you on your path to emotional well-being.
It’s not exactly because I’m a dog trainer. Or because I worked as a youth and leisure activity leader with children and adolescents.
It also has nothing to do with my degree in Business Administration.
Rather, my experience and training as a psychologist is what has brought our paths together.
I love personal challenges. And, what is more challenging than helping other people be happier?
I consider myself a brave, adventurous woman and a super-conscious mum. And I dedicate all my time to reading, training, and offering moments of relief and emotional learning to the people who trust me as their psychotherapist.
They say I convey calmness and security in equal measure.
But don’t just take my word for it!
Better yet, see for yourself from your first session.
It seems that we psychologists can’t show even a hint of “weakness” by sharing the personal experiences that make us human, just like anyone else.
In my case, I’m sharing the difficult past experiences I endured, which will pave the way for me to help you manage your current ones.
Especially, whether you are a FATHER OR MOTHER wanting to be your best version.
Or if you are a CAREGIVER FOR A FAMILY MEMBER WITH MENTAL ILLNESS and you’re looking for calm and well-being.
How will you transform into
a happy dad or mum?
Overcoming a very complicated divorce from someone who lived a childhood of repressed and never-confronted emotions made me face the upbringing of my children from a different perspective.
I understood that the best way to enjoy the emotional health of my two little ones depends on the care and balance they receive from early childhood.
Your children are the ones most affected by your stress, discomfort, and overwhelm when you can’t cope with everything.
And even more so when you blame yourself for your lack of tact when you snap at them under pressure.
So that your bond becomes a healthy relationship full of good moments that they will remember, and that will forge their responsible and emotionally healthy adulthood.
You need the level of mutual respect and trust that sustains your relationship from now on. And that makes you enjoy being a happy dad or mum as soon as possible.
Everything starts the very day the little one joins the family.
That’s why you need a safe space, free from exhausting self-demands that only undermine your self-esteem and harm their education and upbringing.
I congratulate you for seeking the self-care that will boost your enjoyment together. I assure you it is the most conscious method to give your son or daughter the childhood of understanding, communication, and freedom they need, to grow to their full potential and without conflicts getting out of hand.
How will you help your family member with a mental disorder without suffering anxiety or guilt?
Spending year after year in the shadow of my own will was my awakening.
I spent years caring for my diagnosed family member. And it was then that I submerged my body and mind under the most extreme misunderstanding and anxiety.
The role of unconditional caregiver involves a physical and mental effort that is difficult to manage if you don’t have the support and empathy of someone who knows what you’re going through.
The daily burden you face during their crises and uncontrolled relapses takes a toll on your own mental health, directly affecting the management of your own emotions.
For all these reasons, you need to give yourself the opportunity to express your feelings without judgement and with a conscious openness to your mental state.
At Transformative Psychology, you will learn to practice self-care to make your life easier and open yourself up to a new reality of rest, self-worth, and a well-deserved, liberating release.
Say goodbye to the guilt, shame, and anxiety caused by the uncertainty of not knowing how to face your family member’s mental illness.
Recover the emotional well-being that their illness prevents you from enjoying.
Do you want to care with love for the person you are here for, while first ensuring your own true personal well-being?
I want to help my family member
with mental illness.
